BRONZE SCULPTURES

David Tomlinson

After a remarkable career as a sculptor specialising in wildlife, David Tomlinson has recently retired. He is no longer producing but we do have these two remaining pieces in stock.

Born in Cape Town, David Tomlinson began his artistic journey with a diploma in graphic art, followed by a career in Johannesburg's advertising industry.

His hobby, ceramic sculpture, soon transformed into a passion, leading him to pursue sculpture full time in the KZN Midlands.

Here, David discovered his fondness for bronze, a medium that allowed greater freedom than ceramics due to its durability.

Wildlife emerged as the predominant subject in his art.

With numerous solo and group exhibitions to his credit, David's remarkable sculptures have garnered widespread recognition. His works are cherished in private collections across the UK, USA, Europe, and South African corporations.

Major clients include Anglo American Corp., De Beers Diamond Mines, and Rennies International. His water features, such as the flight of Spurwing Geese at Prince's Grant Golf Estate and St. Michael at Michaelhouse School, leave an indelible mark on their surroundings.
