Sandi Beukes
Born in Cape Town in 1957, Sandi Beukes now resides in Durban.
Initially, she pursued a career as a Chartered Accountant until 2000 when she decided to follow her artistic passion full time.
Sandi frequently travels to Europe to absorb the artistic culture and gain inspiration, with a particular love for the French and Italian countryside and their vibrant street and café life. This European influence prominently features in her works.
Starting her artistic journey with watercolours, Sandi has since explored pastels and acrylics. Her recent interests lie in printmaking, specifically monotypes and collagraphs, and she's begun experimenting with dry point etchings.
