WOOD & STONE SCULPTURES

Clive Hutton

We recently acquired a collection of sculptures of the late CLIVE HUTTON, plus a few of his pencil and charcoal artworks. These pieces have been acquired from clients who are emigrating and are therefore considerably well priced.

Clive was a well known Pietermaritzburg based artist and sculptor who had several exhibitions at the Tatham Art Gallery, Pietermaritzburg. Over the past 40 years, Clive has produced corporate commissions of sculptures in wood, stone and bronze. These materials were all sourced by Clive on his travels throughout South Africa, and from the Hazy View area in Mpumalanga where he finally settled.

In 2006, Clive completed a life-size portrait of St. Benedict which was a commission for the St. Benedict School in Pinetown.

In his art, Clive’s preferred medium was in pencil, charcoal and pastel.
